In addition, HFIP finds use in analytical applications due to its ability to dissolve a variety of polymers including polyesters, polyamides, polyacrylonitriles, polyacetals, and hydrolyzed polyvinyl esters. Raw material in the preparation of the inhalation anesthetic Sevoflurane.
