Mr Siddhomal Jain, father of Mr. D K Jain started
Siddhomal and Sons, a paper and newsprint trading organization,
80 years ago. With sheer perseverance and foresight Mr Jain brought
to India the first Industrial Gas plant in 1965. Since then it has
been a never ending journey of firsts and many diversifications
– right from setting up plants for manufacturing refrigerants,
PTFE resin and other chemicals and Gases to building a brand called
INOX – the most happening chain of multiplexes in India.

Co Ltd set up its first industrial gas plant at Pune, Maharashtra.

Set up Cryogenic
plant manufacturing division.

facility for welded cylinders set up at Mandi Gobindgarh,

SMS Udyog Ltd
set up at Surajpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Fluorochemicals Ltd set up to manufacture refrigerant gases
at Ranjitnagar, Near Vadodara, Gujarat.

Acquired the
Nigen division of BP India Ltd
1993 /
Set up 100%
EOU to manufacture disposable cylinders at Rajkot, Gujarat.
1994 /
INOX India Ltd
set up to manufacture cryogenic vessels near Vadodara, Gujarat.

Group works
with McKinsey & Co for begin wider search for diversification
opportunities.

Investment decision
taken to set up national chain of multiplexes.
2000 /
Group start
implementing the strategy for setting up national chain of
multiplexes.

A 450 seat call
centre at Gurgaon, Near New Delhi was started by the Company
2003 /
Group
decides to setup new facilities for HF recovery, Captive
Power Plant and AHCL at Ranjitnagar.
2005 /
Group
decides to invest on for setting up facilities for production
of Caustic / Chlorine, Chloromethane, PTFE and Captive Power
Plant at Dahej in Gujarat.
2006 /
Dahej
project in advanced stage of commissioning and commercial
production to quarter of 2006.
